This Waterpulse is easy and convenient to use. A few weeks ago the battery stopped holding a charge. I'd use it for less than a minute and it would be dead. Today I called Waterpulse customer service and was advised to disconnect charger from device then hold in power button for 10 seconds then release. Alex at Waterpulse customer service said that this would rest the battery. She advised to charge for 6 hours and report back to her whether that solved the problem. It did! Very pleased with the solution.
My dentist recommended this product to me. I have tried water flossing one other time in my life, but it was this huge bulky system that was hard to use. This product is sooo simple and easy. Also so much smaller than those huge bulky kinds. Simple to use, and it feels amazing! It cleans so much better than regular flossing, and its quicker too. It has been so much easier to integrate into my daily routine than regular flossing. I can now tell my dentist truthfully that I do floss daily!
UPDATE- still love this thing. Still works great! My dentist told me to USE WARM WATER if I am having trouble with sensitive teeth. It makes a HUGE difference!
A water-floss system was suggested by my dentist. I went online to discover the myriad of solutions. Waterpulse is a name that is synonymous to water flossing as Kleenex is to paper tissue. I considered relative price, counter space required and user recommendations. This unit met all standards I had set. The "footprint" on the counter is small compared to the larger units made by the same company. The water reservoir is the largest variable. The unit was not the most expensive but not the least. Finally, user recommendations were within a range I thought were acceptable.
I have been satisfied with performance. The power of the pulsating water stream is very good. It is easy to keep available, within view on the bathroom counter, thus encouraging regular use. The water reservoir and the powering unit are combined. Once filled, the time of use will vary and I estimate 30-45 seconds. It is simple to fill and complete a second round of flossing. The flossing attachments included in the sale should satisfy multiple need uses. I have ordered another pack of the tips I use to have in inventory. I cannot attest to the expected length of service for the tips I use.
In closing, I was a skeptic about the need for this type of home treatment. I thought I brushed very well targeting the toughest to reach areas in my mouth. Water-flossing opened my eyes and changed my mind. Not only are you addressing a real dental hygiene need but you will like the way your mouth feels afterwards. Make sure you fill the reservoir of the unit with warm or tepid water which will not shock your mouth!
Great water pik. Well worth the money. Low setting is gentle enough to not hurt your gums. Love the extra pieces that came for variety of uses. Charge holds for several days which is pretty good. I find that the entire tank runs out before I complete my bottom set of teeth. I have to refill 3 times in most cases to get all teeth, but I do thorough cleaning. Water tank could be bigger, and the placement of the tank opening is awkward so when you need to empty the tank it won't get all the water out and will leave a little bit in the bottom, causing hard water stains over time. Two fixed, take the tank out every time and empty afterwards or open the water plug hole after use to aid in evaporation.
Great water flosser! At first I had trouble removing the water tank, it didn't feel as though it was meant to be removed. I contacted the seller about how to remove it and they responded pretty quick. They said with a little extra effort to pull the tank away from the base and "ta da!" it came right off. Thank you St. Future Health & Beauty, great customer service! Replacing the tank is fairly easy and it does not leak once replaced. I have used it in and out of the shower and it works really well. Removing the tank helps it to dry out faster which helps in preventing bacterial and mold growth. This water flosser is a dream for those who have trouble using regular floss, I shred my gum line with regular floss and my little boy's teeth are too tight to force the floss between his teeth. If you suffer from gingivitis then you really should give this a go, my dentist will be proud that I bought this especially since they've been trying to et me to get one. The periodontal head is great for really getting the gum line cleaned and well irrigated front and back. I bought another one and gave it to my 9 year old and he loves it. Next I will get one for my husband and nephew.
